The pan is soaking, the plates are stacked, and somewhere under the water is the part of the job nobody volunteers for. You pull the plug and the sink drains halfway, then stops. Underneath there is a grey mat of rice, a strip of pepper skin, two lengths of spaghetti and something that used to be a spring onion. Measure your drain opening first — this sits in the opening rather than replacing the drain, and it does not stop the sink. The holes are punched rather than fine mesh, so coffee grounds rinse straight through. The option list is labelled Colour, but the three codes are sizes: two small, one large, all the same stainless steel. Choose by basket diameter — 10 cm small, 14 cm large.
