We ship to addresses in Canada and the United States. All prices, shipping charges and refunds on this site are in USD. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own rate and may add its own foreign-transaction fee — that conversion and that fee are your bank’s, not ours.

How long delivery takes
Please read this before ordering. We are a small curated store and our catalogue is fulfilled by overseas manufacturing partners rather than from a warehouse in Canada or the United States. That keeps prices low, and it means delivery takes longer than a domestic retailer.
- Order processing: 1–3 business days.
- Transit: it depends on the item, and by more than you would expect. Every product page shows the estimate for that specific product, taken from the carrier quote we hold for it — that is the number that applies to your order, and it is the one to go by. Across the catalogue as a whole the range is 8 to 38 days from ordering to arrival. Some items ship on a fast tracked lane and land in a fortnight; others are only offered on an economy service and genuinely take a couple of months. Allow longer again for remote, rural or northern addresses.
- Worst case: if an order has not arrived 30 days after the latest date in the delivery estimate we gave you, contact us and we will refund or replace it, whichever you prefer — see our Returns & Refund Policy. You never have to wait longer than that, and you do not have to chase the carrier first.
- Split shipments: orders with more than one item often arrive in separate packages, on different days, at no extra cost to you.
- Tracking: every order ships with a tracking number, emailed when it dispatches. Tracking can take several days to begin updating, which is normal and does not mean the parcel is lost.
Tax at checkout
- Orders shipping to Canada: GST/HST is calculated and added at checkout at the rate for the destination province, and shown to you before you pay.
- Orders shipping to the United States: we do not charge US sales tax. Your state may still expect you to self-assess use tax on what you buy from out of state.
Duties, customs and import charges
Your parcels ship from outside Canada and the United States, so they cross a border. Customs and the carrier — not us — decide what is charged on arrival, and those rules change without notice:
- Canada: the CBSA may assess duty and GST/HST at the border in addition to the tax you were charged at checkout, and the carrier or Canada Post may add a brokerage or handling fee for collecting it.
- United States: US Customs may assess duty on parcels of Chinese origin, and the carrier may add its own brokerage or handling fee.
If you are charged duty, border tax or a brokerage fee on an order from us, we will reimburse it up to the shipping amount you paid on that order — and up to $9.99 USD if your order shipped free. That is one reimbursement per order, not per parcel, because a multi-item order often arrives as several parcels. Email the carrier or customs receipt and your order number to info@giddygadget.com within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it to your original payment method.
